Digital nomad packing list

Two weeks on the road with your work setup. Tech is switched on, and clothing caps out so you're not packing 14 of everything.
What the preset sets
| Field | Setting |
|---|---|
| Trip type | Digital nomad |
| Climate | Mixed |
| Nights | 14 |
| Travelers | 1 adult |
| Toiletries | On |
| Tech / work | On |
Staying longer? Raise the nights. Clothing stays capped, because you'll be doing laundry either way.
What's on the list
Work kit. Laptop, laptop charger, laptop stand, mouse, USB hub or dongles, headphones, a phone and charger, a power bank, a travel power adapter, an e-reader or tablet and a camera. Remove anything you don't carry.
Clothing, capped. 10 tops, 7 bottoms, 10 pairs of underwear and 10 pairs of socks, plus layers for mixed weather: light jacket, warm coat, rain jacket, warm hat and scarf.
Documents. Passport, boarding passes, travel insurance details, any visas or entry forms, lodging confirmations, emergency contacts and copies of key documents.
Money. Cards, some local cash and a backup card stored separately from your wallet.
Toiletries and health. A clear liquids bag, the basics, a mini first-aid kit and your prescriptions.
Before you go
- Check entry rules for a long stay. Visa and stay limits depend on your passport and destination. Canadians visiting the Schengen area, for example, can generally stay up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa, and Government of Canada guidance says your passport should be valid for at least 3 months after the date you plan to leave. Check the official rules for your own passport and route.
- Check the plugs. A travel adapter changes the plug shape. Check your chargers' labels for the voltage range they accept.
- Carry your power bank on board. The FAA says spare lithium batteries, including power banks, can't go in checked bags. Batteries between 101 and 160 Wh need airline approval.
